Evening all,
I'm off to look at one of these saws later, a single phase variant. Looks in good nick, but I have a question...
I fully intend to build whatever saw I get into an outfeed and wing-extension table - my question is around the guide rail for the rip fence. The 145 has a plain rectangular cross section, no teeth cut into the guide rail, so in theory I can just replace it with a new (longer) one, utilise the existing 3 bolts into the saw table top, and run it flush along the front of my wing extension.
Am I correct in this, or will I open up a world of hurt from the potential of the rip fence to wander away from parallel on the new section? Alternatively if the answer is somewhere in the middle (I can do it but need to set up the extension in a certain way) then advice would be welcome!
Cheers all.
