Thinking of buying a 3 Phase Startrite TA-145.
Any one had any experience of converting to single phase either by motor change or Inverter.

You'll have to work out if you have a foot mount motor sitting on an angle bracket or a flange mount clamped directly to the vertical plate (with the pulleys behind it)
The first should be easy to change as the bracket is moved to tension the belts. My motor repair guy said the flange type were made by Brook for Startrite and are a lot of trouble to swap - the end of the motor is eccentrically machined and you twist the whole motor to tension the belts ,an inverter might be your best option here
