Right, so after some recommendations from here I have finally manage to put my hands on a startrite 275.
However there are a few bits missing and some that needs replacing which I am looking for some recommendations for.
- The saw does not come with a blade guard. What would be a good replacement blade guard (with or without dust extractor?). Metal spares Ltd sells the original one but it's £160 and has no dust extrator?
- The riving knife is also not original, but Metal Spares has it for £40 all included.
- The two side removable panels are missing, I had a brief look on the bay but it seems that it might not be an easy one to find, so I might need to fabricate some in wood.
- Most likely need to a new blade. I need one to make some accurate cuts in hardwood, any recommendation? I understand that the blade hole for the 275 is different than most saw these days?
