Here's a whimsical little puzzle: 330 pieces.

I'm posting this because its dark colors allow the pieces to be easily seen. My cutting style is also visible. As can be seen, I use every image within the picture as either the outline of a puzzle piece and/or, in many cases, to form the locks between the pieces.

70 Christmas card puzzles are now done. A dozen or so more to go.

Very skillful work there Carter, the finesse with wich you incorporate the picture features is awesome enough, but the ability to maintain consistent interlocking as well certainly erns my respect and marks you as a very talented scroller.

It's always a delight to see your wonderful jigsaws, Carter. This one is every bit as inspirational as your others.

That's great!
I've never cut anything like that.
How long did it take to actually cut that out?
How long do you think it would take me?
(Think of a time, and treble it...)

Hey, Bruce......

It takes me about 6 to 7 hours to cut a puzzle of around 300-350 pieces. I only sit at the saw for a half hour or less at a time so I finish around three per month. Once you get in the rhythm of cutting freehand puzzle pieces, you'll find yourself almost as fast.

To provide some help, here's a link to a set of instructions I wrote.

Here's another link, this one to an album of pictures of the fronts and backs of a number of my puzzles. Scroll down the left to get some ideas.

Good luck and please give it a try. I'm happy to help any way I can.
