Hello and welcome, Stairs don't have to be complicated, especially if it's just a straight flight.
Many of these technical books are available from you're local library too.
There have been a number of posts on the subject.
Before someone comes along I googled "Staircase geometry" and found this,-

+1 - That's the one I used and I've never built stairs before - yes, they are still standing :lol:
 
Thanks all im just going through the process of starting up my own workshop after working on building sites as a carpenter for the last 10 years so wanted to brush up on my staircase knowledge
