Spiral blades

Hello All.
I have never used spiral fretsaw blades before. I have just purchased a pack of Bahco spiral fretsaw blades 302-83S-12P and find the ends of the blades 90° to each other. Is this normal for spiral blades or are the ones I have got faulty? :?

Yes, that is normal. The spirals are made from regular flat blades, heated and twisted and cooled in oil.
There are spirals with flat ends. However the ends are not always lined up even either.
