Spalted Beech

Just about to make a dining table with a Spalted beech top.
Normally for smaller pieces of furniture I just use Colron Finishing oil. Wipe on wipe off but it does tend to drag a bit when buffing.

I cant imagine buffing a large dining table but I still want a soft sheen finish - what would people recommend as a hard wearing finish?

Ok thanks for that - not sure I fancy going down the brush route though. Im just not into brush marks.
