Hawthorn vase, 11" tall. Finished with micro-crystalline wax. Sometimes I actually make something I like myself LOL.

I have loads of different images of ceramics and pottery downloaded Chas as the designs etc are nearly all transferable to wood. I had quite a bit of this hawthorn but as you know it can be fickle. Lot's of little tops for the markets .....and one vase LOL.

That's rather attractive. How much have you hollowed?

Thank you. It's only hollowed to about 1/4" because of the bark. Any more and it would be likely to warp and fall out. DAMHIK LOL.

Only sort of, almost complete really. Very nice Pete. Actually, I think it would look pretty good with the bark off and holes in the side but then it sounds like you might have tried that already

I often wonder what to do with the slimmer branches I have in stock. Must try something like this with some of the tons of yew I have lying around, I'm a bit tired of mushrooms and mice.
