i dont really know what im looking at on google searches i get a lot of random links
anybody know of any reasonable suppliers (online is preferred)

In Stoke there is Hymors. They have a good selection of hardwood and softwood.

whilst attractive for many things, online purchase of wood is not ideal. You would be far better to buy in person and look at what you are purchasing.

Thanks for the advice il have a look at them.
I dont actually know what im after yet lol

I'm quite new to woodworking so have had to work through this myself. I'd try and find somewhere close by so you can pick up yourself.

Especially if you are new you probably only want small quantity, they can usually saw it into sizes manageable for a car. Be careful of ebay and playces like woodcut4u, they are very expensive.

size isnt an issue because i have a big car and a roof rack so i could carry 8ft x 4ft sheets if i needed to,
paying for it on the other hand erm lol
