looking for one of these, but getting one from lee valley is turning out to be quite spendy postage wise

I am running the risk of ridicule here, but would state I have not used them, and would be dubious anyway; Silverline do some mini planes, and they are rosewood and brass!!! For a few quid - if they are useless how much have you lost?? £3 ?? They do look similar too.

Crown tools also do the small planes and are likely to be better than the silverline ones
