My little makerspace measures 2.9x2metres, it's still a work in progress and will likely be constantly evolving but for now I'm happy with the position of the bandsaw, lathe and dustextractor, still need to run ductwork from it to the saw and lathe but not sure how yet, as you can see the back wall is lost to the gas manifold, the large meter is the schools feed and the small one is my feed, having the school feed in the garage means the space has to be constantly accessible.

My shop is in a 4 car garage, 24x36'. I occupy the back half or so, roughly 24 x 20' or so, a massive step up from the 10x12' i had in the UK.
Layout isnt final, was set up in a rush and walls and ceiling werent finished. Long term will be adding some windows so i can see out and get some natural light in the winter time. I also would like to install a wood burning stove somewhere in here too as I get killed in electric bills for heating during the winter. I also still need to run my 110v wiring, currently working of extension leads.

Hmmm... it makes my old 2.44 x 1.83m look very spacious.
This is why I felt the need to double the size after using this space for 3 years.Attachments

It does pack a punch lol although currently needs restringing.
I mainly used it for target practice, it's a bit too big for small vermin. Could take care of some of the deer that eat up my garden but I'd have to get tags for that.

As promised earlier, I finally have managed to get around to straightening out a few things. These images are not yet how the completed shed will look but it may indicate where I hope to take it in future. The space difference between 8' x 6' and 12' x 8' is very noticeable. I now have three benches! 
The construction is 22mm thick shiplap and there is a 60mm air gap between the walls and the 5mm plywood skin. I placed 25mm of Celotex in the spaces in the walls and the ceiling and added 8 inches of height at the front of the pent roof so 7'8" at the front and 6' at the back. There are 6 double sockets on two radial circuits and 2 x 6 foot long LED lights that are rated at 7200 lumen each light.
pix: titles should be self explanatory. Ask if you want to know anything.

Here's my 12 x 8 shed hole. I need to sort out some drawers to fit under the far right, where the vice is fitted. There's lots of bits and pieces shoved under there for now, there's a table saw and mitre saw under the middle right section of the bench.
I had no intention of ever taking up woodturning, but thanks to receiving a free lathe from a forum member, I soon got hooked and bought a new lathe after passing on the first one to my brother.
It's very cramped, and yes it's a bit of a mess, but I enjoy my time in the shed.

I have that bandsaw - you might be interested in my dust collection mod which I put in place a few days ago, dust collection is 100 times better now.
I only have a shop vac but with my mod I'm now pulling directly from underneath the blade and it seems to be grabbing almost everything
Its all just friction fit so slips out in a few seconds if I need to do a blade change.

Thanks for sharing that
Part of my problem is that I often don't bother to hook up the extraction for those small and quick tasks, of course those numerous small jobs soon build up the sawdust.
