Setting scoring blade

I've set up a conical scoring blade on the panel saw but in order to avoid break out , I have to raise the scoring blade to cut 3mm depth. The scoring blade then stalls in the cut. Is it better to switch to the adjustable scoring blades? Has anyone experienced this problem?

I’m surprised it’s stalling. Is the motor stalling or is it just the drive belt that needs tightening?

be careful when using a scoring blade -easy to cut your hand on it

or forget its there and put your work across it when butting up to the the sliding table fence
