Scrollsaw, Band Saw, etc vibration mats

Hi all, first post, so be kind please

I have just bought a scroll saw and anchored it to my work bench, but it advised to place a 3mm mat between the bench and the saw to reduce vibration. So far it doesn't seem so bad, what's the general consensus to adding a mat?
Also any advice on where to buy mats, or make my own?

I have a piece of 15mm thick exercise mat sandwiched between my scroll saw and it's stand. Vibration has reduced a bit but surprisingly so has noise and quite a lot too.

Good idea, bought a decent thickness roll from Sports Soccer for £3.99, tried it on the scroll saw, brilliant! Got loads left for the rest of my stuff.
