Good afternoon gentlemen,

First post.

I am looking to add a table saw to my ever increasing garage tool collection.
Been looking at the Scheppach TS82 with no reviews on here and the Charnwood W619 with a few good reviews.

The two machines look almost identical to me.
The Charnwood come with 12 month guarantee and the Scheppach with a 4 year guarantee according to kendaltools.

For some it would be a no brainer seeing the guarantee to go for the Sheppach. But I don't want to buy me a saw that will last me a lifetime but give me no joy.
Any advise would be appreciated.

I have decided to go for the Scheppach TS82.
Will receive it hopefully next week.

I have a another question. Since this saw will be garage based and I will have to move it around quite about, I will need some type wheel system.

Sheppach Universal wheel kit base system

vs

Charnwood universal wheelbase system

Can anybody confirm which is best?
I believe either wheelbase will fit either saw system.

Thanks again.

I've got a MM universal wheel kit on my band saw, I built a stand for my table saw and put locking castors on it from Screwfix, I think its far better. Think I'll bin the universal and make a new one of my own for the band saw now.

Hi, how are you finding your table saw? Im looking to get a small table saw because of limited space ( a garden shed ) and looking to cut small pieces of hardwood for segmented woodturning. Do you find the saw accurate? Thankyou.

Ally, I am a wee bitty disappointed with the aluminium runners at the back and front of the saw.
Care should be taken when you assemble the saw as the screws you use to align the fence are easily over tighten which could damage the runners.
Another annoyance was the dust extraction pipe wasn't fitted when saw was delivered - the Germans forgot to mention that in the assembly instructions  . That meant I had to strip everything back to flip the saw over to fit it.
But I am glad I have it, the induction motor is a treat. Saw is heavy (90kg). If you are looking for a small saw, I would say look elsewhere. Operationally the saw is so far faultless give me another 24 months and I can update.

Hi.
Sorry for being inpatient, but would you consider posting a follow up after only 20 months?
I was considering buying one of these. (I get 20% off at Screwfix) I'm a beginner to all things practical, but have bought a house that needs lots doing to it, and was hoping to build some furniture into its strange shapes.

Posts go to the top of their section, so show up easily to be answered.

Couple of questions:
What max size and thickness are you looking to cut??
Do you have space restrictions?

Mike
