Hello

I am currently using the scheppach hms 2600 ci planer thicknesser.

There is a reoccurring problem that I cannot fathom.

The 'multi vee' drive belt from the motor to the cutter block keeps hopping off the pulleys. Mainly on start up but occasionally after it has been running perfectly for a while. Not completely but enough to rub against the body work and cause the belt to get very hot. Looked at the pulleys and there is no wear and the bearings seem to be sound. I have had this machine for 5 years now and it has only just started doing this. I replaced the belt thinking that the old one may be worn. Still the same.

Anyone with an answer....anyone had the same issues ? thank you in advance....

Regards

'Sue'

Looking on the washing machine forums it appears that one of the pulleys may have worked itself out of line. I will check the bottom pulley tomorrow ...I did give it the 'wobbly' test and seemed to be secure but I suppose it could have moved on the spline.

Thinking of an upgrade...the machine is good but I think that I am pushing it a bit with 4000 x 40 x 240 oak strings...time for a couple of wadkin style machines I think.
