I've just picked up a second hand HMS 2600 CI from EBay, and it's in pretty good condition, and after a few hours stripping, cleaning and greasing the chains and cogs it's running smooth and sweet. I now need to fettle the tables into fine alignment, as there is a cross table dip, and the tables are not level at the top of the planing adjuster.
The manual is as truly rubbish, so I'm asking if anyone has any hints and tips. I'm unsure if there is anyway of easily adjusting the table on these machines, so I'll appreciate anything that anyone contributes. I suspect any easy adjustment will be on the lifting out feed table.
