Saw tooth bits

Looking for a set of metric saw tooth bits (Forstner style) for end grain use on a lathe. Very grateful for any recommendations - Planet?

Rockler in the US sell long shank carbide tipped bits. They are mixed metric and imperial but are ideal for end grain boring. Not cheap but they last a lifetime.

Famag for me too, expensive but excellent quality. I tend to buy the size I need for a specific job and eventually you get a good selection with minimal pain!

Fisch. As good as Famag I think. For occasional use CMT are reasonably priced.

You tend to get pretty much what you pay for. Having said that, Draper stuff isn't usually the worst and sometimes is quite good.

That's my thinking, as a starter set to see what sizes I use the most and replace as needed with better quality ones
