Rutlands have a one day offer on a s/s vac for £39.95. Looks similar to one that Lidl did a while ago and these were good. Geoff

Sure it will be fine as is the one from Aldi/Lidl when it's about.

But for the same money I'd buy the Wickes Wet and Dry Vac with a bigger motor and loads of really good reviews. I was so impressed I brought a second one to replace mine when it dies, that was four years ago and the original is still going strong and boy has it had some punishment.

I adapted mine to take a larger hose and I wish on our side of the pond we had more vac's with something like a 2.5in outlet. The Wickes one was easy to convert to length of 63mm flexible hose. If nothing else it saves you whizzing the pipe round your head like a whirling dervish trying to dislodge a chunk of something that invariable is 0.5mm bigger than the pipe!!!

That Wickes one does look good as well. I am not sure if it has (but the Lidl one did) a power take off which you plug into and it powers up when you switch on ( mitre saw in my case) useful as an extractor on routers as well. The Rutland one doesn't seem to have this facility though.

I have a lidl one too and the power take off and auto start is a great feature - and whirling the hose over your head just makes a fun sound :)
