Router template question

Morning guys, I was wondering if someone might be able to give me some advice. I have a Makita RP0900 with a 30mm guide bush and I wanted to have a go at routing letters and numbers. Do they mean 13mm deep or 13mm diameter? I'm confused (homer)

Its the outside diameter of the bushing.

Surely that's 13mm diameter? There's no standardised length for guide bushes, I sometimes wish there were!

You could email Trend, they're sure to have a help desk.

Ah....... it seems what ever way I look at it, I'll need to purchase a unibase and then get a 13mm guide bush.

Hello,

I'm sure Makita produce guide bushes for their routers in sizes other than 30 mm. The Unibase is fine if you WANT to use Trend bushes, but investigate proprietary bushes first.
