Also, with the split fence you can stick two washers behind the left hand slider to bring it out 1mm and the router table can be used as a jointer.

Very impressive, I like the fence, I'm about to make a new table and I'm unsure about the fence. Would you mind putting up a few more pics from the back and other angles I'm looking for inspiration!

Some pictures of the fence.

These are the bits I used. The router insert plate comes up cheap on eBay often. Hope this helps.

Many thanks, it's how you made the high split fence that interested me, and yours is a particularly good set up. By coincidence I already have the same track and feather board on what is my MK2 router table, I want to make MK3 perfect and hopefully the last one I make I'm determined to research and plan first.
Thanks again for your help I will definitely be stealing most of your fence design!

You're welcome.

As you already have a router table making the new fence will be a doddle.

One thing to keep in mind is the height of the fence, particularly the height of the T-track as if this is too high the feather boards will not come down enough. The minimal gap under my feather boards is 15mm. I use 18mm pine 98% of the time. If you use thinner stuff you might want to lower the T-track.

Overall height: 160mm
Overall width: 760mm (this will be dictated by the table)
T-track centre height: 100mm
Split fence: 80mm

I had to make another fence not long ago as I have changed the dust extractor port from 30mm to 60mm. Virtually no dust on the table. The pipe to the router itself is still 30mm but the suction from the fence is really good so not much is falling down.
