I already bought one from this guy (link to follow) very reasonable. I read through the other thread where several members were looking for flat topped round cutters, I have not found any UK suppliers but this Ebay seller did not charge an arm and a leg.

So if anyone is still looking for these, here they are. They are the original Ci3 tool type, not steel cutting.

On the other hand, if a UK supplier is know of could you pop a link in?

Was thinking of using something like this with my rs200 sorby tool
A hardened piece of hss withe the right hole sizes might just be the ticket to offer an angled extension to the tool
Anyone know if such a thing is already available ?
Btw kimi - you haven't bought any surplus have you?

Well rats, sorry Harlequin, I just ordered one of each (round and Radius) and they are already dispatched, but all in it was $20 which for what is a virtually everlasting cutter is very reasonable postage an all. Postage was just $4.65, that's pretty fair from the US. To use these I bought a 5/8" straight shaft from Axminster for about £11.00, I cut a small 1" length of 1/4" steel as a carrier for the cutter, and tapped a thread to suit the hex nut that comes with the cutter (metric, 4 or 5 mm). I also have a small Crown tool cutter bar that I want to set up the same for smaller items.

Hi Harlequin,
They're not TCT but these are some of the spare cutters you can get from Robert Sorby...

You can also make your own HSS cutters by buying a piece of 1/8"x5/8"x4" HSS from the likes of ArcEuroTrade...

http://www.arceurotrade.co.uk/Catalogue/Cutting-Tools/High-Speed-Steel-Toolbits

Cutting it into short lengths (Dremel cut-off wheel) and drilling it with a 5mm TCT spear-point tile drill (All Robert Sorby cutters have the same M5 hole) and shaping it flat on a table on the grinder.

I bought a circular cutter at the woodworking show in the National Botanic Gardens, Wales about a month back, but I don't know the name of the firm. Not much help, I know, but at least you know they are available in this country. Mine is a different shape though - truncated cone (frustum) with no flared flat surface. It cost £10. These were available as complete tools for £25 but I'll fix mine to a piece of square section bar for next to nothing. The tools were square section with the cutter fixed at an angle of about 45 degrees.
I watched the demonstrator using it, then had a go myself on the inside of a bowl - it was really easy so I'm looking forward to getting mine made up
