Roll top bath

Hi there,
Does anyone know if the bolts on a acrylic roll top bath are welded in our threaded in?
Need to fit new ball and claw feet but the bolts are not long enough on the bath.

Those bolts are not just bolts sticking out, they are a special fitting used in many GRP applications and will look like this

So you might get away with a rod connector

These are also available as a plain cylinder (search 'cylindrical connector nut'). That might reduce the oversizeness of the hole you would have to drill to accommodate them.
