These must have looked pretty futuristic back in the '30's. It must be 25 years since I last visited that Museum. Time to see some old friends I think.

My friends and I used to sit by the tracks and watch them whizz by and often put a coin on the track to be flattened by them as a keepsake. Pastimes like that (train spotting) seemed to be considered less dangerous in those days?

I like the look of it's rival too: the Coronation Scot. I think I prefer it.
I must be sinking into the train spotting 'hobby' ! I'm surprised how early the Diesel units came in. I'm even more surprised how early the electric trains started.
How about a steam train powered by the super efficient rocket stove? London to Glasgow on two twigs and a branch.
