Won't be free delivery for me, FFX will charge £18.95 to ship to Ireland. Oh well. Same machine doesn't seem to be available here at all, but our high street costs are usually the price in GBP plus £50-100 in markup (depends on which shop you go to). As the man says, never mind bending your knees to lift, just bend over the table and be done with it...

Its a sad fact, but tools, machines and white goods are more expensive in the Euro zone, free delivery is almost unheard of.

Well, not really, just in the ROI. The same machine costs less in Germany for example : https://www.screwfix.eu/triton-tsps450- ... -240v.html Triton spindle sander from screwfix.eu in germany, total 139 euro. From a local woodworking shop here (basically our take on yandles I suppose): http://www.thecarpentrystore.com/p/trit ... 4763078408 199 euro. Same machine. About the same delivery costs. Everything's just more expensive here because shipping and, well, Ripoff Ireland is a bloody trademark here...

96dbA.
106dbA when it's actually sanding.
Holy ears batman, it's the loudest thing in the world in that shed.

It's also a bit more imposing than you'd think from the numbers. I think because it's pretty much occupying the entire footprint right up to the full height.
Mind you, it was a lot less terrifying to use than what it's replaced. Thanks again for the recommendation Matt!
