Record Coronet Regent and Envoy Lathes- Indexing

Anyone else on here have a Regent or Envoy lathe and noticed that there is a little play when the indexing pin is engaged (ie the spindle isnt completely tightly locked?

Hello.
I've got the coronet, was examining the indexing feature today with a view to doing some patterned drilling. I didn't notice any play at all, all locked up tight, might be a problem with your machine. Good luck.

I have a very different lathe, same manufacturer, a DML 350. Same issue. I think, but can't be sure, its a 6mm locating peg in a 1/4 inch hole.
