Hi all. I picked up this tapered reamer recently - just 'cause it looked interesting
It's 3/8" at the start of the taper, and 2 1/4" at the large end - all over 3 1/2" of length. That seems an extreme taper to me. Half way between what I would have thought a normal taper (for chairs etc.), and a countersink. Obviously intended for use in a brace.
Anybody know what branch of woodworking it would be for?
Cheers, Vann.
