I will making some wardrobe and alcove units ,what type of push magnet catches do you recommend
 
Surely the whole point of a magnetic catch is that you don't push it. It just works by proximity.
Maybe you can expand on what you mean or give an example link or picture?

I use these ones, pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you get the bracket for them too, there is adjustment on them. there is a small mag on them and you get a little metal plate to stick on the door.
 
I've just done a couple of mirror fronted vanity cabinets with the same push to open catches as mtr1 and they work very well provided you are having layon doors. Not sure how they would be with larger wardrobe doors as you have to use unsprung hinges so any slight twist in the door swill not be shut by the hinges.

The one I linked to is magnetic Bob, at least the ones I fitted a couple of weeks ago were.
