Presently in Germany. Costed in £ it is dramatically more expensive for tools than it was 6 months ago. I normally buy my Mafell gear over here but the German brands are actually cheaper in the UK currently (looking at Festool, Mafell, Fein). I suspect this will change rapidly in 2017 when UK retailers are restocking at new exchange rates and new price lists. I suspect I will be coming home empty handed this time.

I think the exchange rate is due to the markets concern at the uncertainty of Brexit not related to real economic downturn. The focus is currently all on Brexit and everybody has forgotten the Euro zone isnt too clever and the Euro is definitely overdue for dropping down to a more realistic rate.

Hopefully Mr Trump will make the dollar so weak we will be buying half price US gear this time next year :D

Dollar is going the other way...

Euro is shaky

Renmimbi is going to tank (or their FX reserves are)

GBP is fecked.
