I should be getting a drill press next month (birthday pressy) I have been looking at the Axminter AWBRD550 I have been planing to spend less than £200 any change will be going to the new band saw (Axminster AWHBS250N ?) as I still have not fixed out the way the workshop will be I was wondering if the bench or free standing one would be more practical, in the short term the bench will be fine but for the extra £25 would I be better getting the free standing one.

Personally, I'd get a bench, and make a stand with a bit of storage under.
I'pretty tall, so am rather fussy about the height of my year, my drill press, lather and bandsaw are all bench top models on home made stands.

Also, I don't need bigger stuff, (and I'm pretty tight too!)
