Hi
i want to setup a contact phone number for our Men's Shed which we can publicise; but is not my own mobile no.... - any ideas of the cheapest way to do this - ideally I want to be able to accept texts as well. I want to be able to setup an answer phone message, and to be able to remotely access the messages - and possibly to divert to another phone no.

Advice gratefully recieved

Cheap/old mobile phone and an O2 classic pay as you go sim.

Sim card is free from O2, just need to stick £10 on it when you activate it (you can spend this). Calls are 3p a minute and texts are 2p each should you need to reply to anything. As long as you carry out a chargeable action (i.e. send a text or make a call) every 6 months it will stay active.
