pen turning

Hi Guys N Gals
I would ike to start to do some pen turning but am a little bewildered by all the equip you need.
Can anyone give me some advice where to get a good comprehensive starting kit. Ive checked out Axminster and theres a whole load of stuff so what is actually needed to start turning pens please.

This kit will get you started and it even has slimline pen kits included. its available in #1 or 2 taper so make sure you order the correct taper for your lathe.
His price is very good and he's a nice guy to deal with.
All you need after this to get started is a blank of wood.
Toolwise, roghing gouge, skew,continental gouge etc,, whatever you're comfortable with for spindle work.

Batfink44, all that is really needed is a mandrel system and a means of drilling the blanks accurately.
