Paint/Finish strainers

Hi all,

Total newbie.

I note there are many micron values of cone type strainers. Is there an "average" I should buy ?

260 micron (µm) are good for solvent based furniture polishes. You can get finer if you need them, but for the most part around 260 µm is what I've always used. Slainte.

Newbie also - I used Starchem Premium Paint strainers (cones) 'Fine', which are 190 micron. Only used (all good) with water borne paints (Morrells) but says it will strain all types of paint.
