I cannot seem to find a way to select all the mails in the inbox and press a delete to gets some fresh air and really clear the lot from my PC. W7pro.

Can anyone please help.

Does the usual Windows shortcut of Ctrl + A not work?

Or

Edit (menu) -> Select All

If you want to save some then select them, click and drag them to a Windows Explorer folder and they'll be saved as .eml files.

Sorry I should have written Windows Live Mail. Not Outlook Express.

There is No Select All?
No Delete.

Helpppppppppppppppppppppppppp :)

You can also click on the first message so that it is selected, then scroll to the last message, press and hold the shift key and then click on the last message. You should now have selected all of the messages and can just press the delete key

Thanks that did it. 3860 mails gone into thin air.

And my thanks posted to above. :wink:

Actually DW they're probably still there, but in your "deleted" folder. To get rid completely right click on the folder and choose "empty deleted items folder" (or some similar wording) - OR just click the folder o open it, like you would on your inbox, and repeat the procedure posted above.
