sorry for another RAS question
i have bought a dw125 and it has a spindle size of 15mm
the blade on the machine has a much smaller hole than modern circular saw blades (15mm, modern is 30mm) and i want to make this saw able to accept new blades
i have looked at the parts list for the dw1251 (the later version of my machine) and it seems that the flanges that clamp either side of the blade now have a male washer-like bit poking out that the blade goes on
http://www.mtmc.co.uk/Dewalt-DW1251---- ... 56279.aspx
(part 19 and 21)
the flanges on my machine are smooth and the blade slides on down the spindle with the flanged just supporting and holding it position

do the parts on the dw1251 (the flanges) fit onto the earlier machine's?
or should i get the flanges on my saw machined down so the face has a lip to accept the bigger blade?
or should i just find a special small-holed blade and pay through the nose?
i realise this is a specialised question that most cant answer but i hope one or two of you know the answers
thanks

I suspect that your spindle is in fact 5/8" -very near to 16mm.

You can buy spacer washers from places like axminster to adapt to other common sizes such as 30mm

i have looked through axminster and i cant find anything like you mentioned
any idea what they are called?
thanks

edit: found some on ebay, thanks a lot :)

I'm using exactly those spacers on my 1251 and have been for years - easy solution
