hi all,

any ideas on something natural for an oak front door sill. i've used loads of coats of linseed oil, but the sill is dirty, dark and dull.

jeff

can i really be the first person in the world to want a natural finish for my oak door sill.

81 views and still no ideas.

the door is south west facing, so it gets all the sun, wind and rain.

please help.....it looks 'orrible.... :(

"something natural"

A silver gray IS the natural colour of oak when exposed.

I'm with Jason B on this. In that exposed position it is always going to look horrid pretty quickly whatever you put on it.

i agree with you on the colour aspect, but i thought it better to give it some protection while its seasoning some more in all the abuse it'll get from the weather.

just wondered if there was a better product than the linseed oil.
