New Ukulele build

A semi solid mahogany body 40mm thock , 2 piece with a 5mm 2 piece maple cap. Templates made, wood jointed and glued. wood planed level and flat. Body hollowed with sawtooth machine bits. Routing tomorrow. Piezo bridge pickup, active controls and a strap jack in the "end block". 2 sessions of work so far.

Neck bolted to body, bridge cut to rough shape and slotted for saddle.

Nice work Mike! I'm currently half way through building an electric mandolin but I've made so many mistakes I wonder if I'll ever get there :?

Keep on going Fiddler. I built a through neck solid electric mandolin years ago, just to test and work out what angles and techniques to build a through neck bass.

How does it sound? I have never built an musical instrument, I think it will sound horrible if I ever make one...
