hi all,
i need some advice about the lighting in my shed.
its 12x10 in size and at the moment i have just a single bulb in the middle, its not wired up, just plugged into the extension that i get power from in the shed.
ideally id like 2 fair sized fluorescent lights and have been told that even though my shed is not wired up, i can put plugs on them to get them working.
has anyone else done this before and if so is it easy to do.
anyhelp, info, prices etc, would be appreciatted.

cheers
chris.....

Presuming your shed is protected by circuit breakers, It may be better to install a fused spur (5 amp) next to your plug socket and then wire your lights and a switch from that.

I had a double strip light with a plug on the end of a wire attached to it, plugged into an extension lead, which in turn was plugged into a kitchen socket. This was a temporary measure that went on a bit longer than expected, while i got my workshop electrics sorted. It was like that for a few weeks with no problems, but you really ought to look into getting it wired in properly and permanently.
