Can anyone recommend a solution for pulling nails out of short lengths of wooden pallet blocks? The blocks have been pryed or knocked free from the slats and still have the nails in them having been pulled through the slats. Because the blocks are loose and are only 4 to 6 inches long I cannot get a stable leverage to use a pry bar or cats paw nail puller. I have looked at this product ... http://www.cordlessdrillnailpuller.com ... which looks ideal but they do not ship outside the USA.

Any thoughts?

In case you're wondering I make stuff from recycled pallets.

Until recently I've had a dozens of these blocks with nails in and have been feeding them to my woodburner. Now I've found a use for them I can't even begin to get the sods out.

If you are lucky you may get a few of the nails out but "sod's law" says that at least one will snap off and it will be just where you want to saw/cut/chisel etc, my woodburner just loves them :)
