hi all
I've got about 15m of stud work framing to fit, (long story but nice workshops don't just happen lol). I've been lusting over a paslode, as I'm sure I'll find lots of other things that need its services.

The cost of the consumable is the only thing that bothers me. I've got compressors around, has anyone used their pneumatic nailers? Any problems?? worth considering?
TIA

If you are not going to do too much you might be better getting a 2nd Bostitch of the bay. There are several on there who are trade sellers and their prices are quite reasonable. You could get a few guns for the price of a new one. Support from Bostitch is very good with excellent manuals. There is also a wide range of nail sellers but if you do your research carefully you can get them quite cheap.

Thanks for the help Mike, I was thinking of going second hand with the paslode... can't run to the cost of a shiny new one, although the pneumatics are reasonable by comparison. so still interested in hearing of any experience of using them.

I've not come across Bostitch before, but I'll go take a google.

thanks again.

I've got pneumatic nailers........

They are fine and generally more reliable than gas nailers.... Plus no gas to buy.

If you can make sure you get one with a single shot option on the trigger...

This will perhaps seem like a silly question but I thought they would all be single shot trigger??

Unless you are planning on using hundreds of nails a day, ie reroofing your house etc you don't need a bump action on your gun. I haven't used this facility as I don't do roofing or fencing.

Thanks for all the help with this chaps. The Bostich certainly has its fans from what I've been reading, so does the pneumatic hitachi. May I ask where you guys are getting your nails from? Google is giving me toooo much choice! :)
