Hi
My new purchase - a Hammer N4400 Bandsaw !
As with all tools I did a mammoth research exercise before deciding.
I have to say right now that the blade that came with it had a twist in it and when turning the wheels by hand it runs smooth for three quarters of a revolution then grinds as it catches the rollers. I was straight onto Tuffsaws and Ian is sending me 2 of his best so looking forward to trying them and will update when I've put it through it's paces.

Other than that the first impressions on the build quality are very good, powder coatings on the casing is excellent, cast iron is true and clean, overall looks good .... but I just need to try it in anger !!
The Felder guy did me a good deal and I bought it with the wheel kit and he also put in the commando plug.
For anyone thinking of getting one the power cable is only about 40 cm long so you will need to position fairly close to a wall outlet.
I had a new 40amp supply run over from my house supply and installed a new consumer unit for the workshop.
Anyway - some photos...

First of all the delivery - on a pallet, the truck had a tailift...

It was well wrapped, but like all good things it was a pleasure undressing it.... 8)

And the wheel kit and - 2 attached to the back base along with 2 for the jack...

I'll post my impressions on actual use once I get the new blade on there in the next couple of days....
Phil

Thanks mate, nice saw, although i'm expecting a ROB-esque review shortly like ;)

Please provide a few pic's of the upper guide assembly when you can please, and let me know if there's a reset switch on the motor if you can please :)

Good to see you got it!

Cheers Peter

Hi Peter
Yes, I bought it about an hour after talking to you at Harrogate.
Just need to finish my workshop and I'll be up and running.
Might find a good course to go on - can you recommend anyone... ?

Here are some pics of the blade guides/rollers etc...
