First, a segmented shallow bowl, made out of a massive wooden table which I got.
The wood of this table is till now unknown, could be, white oak (personaly I think it is), but for the same money rubberwood.
DxH dimensions 310x100mm Finished with blanc transparent decorative acrylic lacquer.
Second, an oval beech lidded box (used for that a couple of square beech beams of 50mm)
Axis size 124x96mm, total height 53mm, and still unfinished, so in his natural color.
Good for small stuff like rings, and so on.
Cheers, Ad

Hello Ad

I am not normally a segmented work person , but with this bow in my opinion it has worked well

The colour difference between the 2 woods used is subtle enough to be a nice contrast :p

Looks to be well turned and finished

The small box also looks well made and finished but the join in the lid is to obvious ( Again for my liking )

Thanks for showing us

hi ad,
nice works , how do you do the oval?
also, ive just returned from Arnhem, visiting my brother (and seeing roger waters concert :) ) and must say if you are in that part of the country you're certainly not short of wood!

Hi Nev, how I do oval turnings, look to the next pictures.
Just started with another oval bowl from a piece of a branch of a walnut tree, which I got from my dear daughter.
Made this device by myself last year, but I notice that there is not much interest by woodturners in this kind of woodturning, actually very pity.
Also you can see this device on my website, http://addecrom.hpage.com/
I see you have a brother in Arnhem, and had good fun in the ''Gelderdome'' with good entertainment, I don't live in that neighbourhood, but in Bergen op Zoom 150km away from Arnhem.
Regards, Ad
