Another oval turning

This time a maple bowl, axis dimensions 172x132mm, height 35mm.
Also a WIP picture of flattening the bottom.
Finished as usual with two layers of blanc transparent acrylic stain decoration.

That is my style AD only mine have not processed further than the round. I really like the shape, but the finish is only normal for you! Love it

I do so like maple and the depths that you can see in it..

Another nice looking bowl Ad
I've had one go oval on me as it's dried out,that blue stained Holly one i turned a short while ago.Looks quite good
So i think i will leave it to nature for my ovals :lol:

Paul, the same happened with me with turning a wet sycamore fruitdish a few years ago. Has now a pretty oval shape. Nothing can defeat nature
