And a real life example on a pipe casing I did yesterday, can you see the join?

It will all be painted and the coving falls right on the joint so it's not a problem, just looks a bit rubbish at the moment........

Its good to have a constant reminder of that but even then there times the screw up fairy still pays a visit.
