Evening all.

My kids (4 & 5) have outgrown their cheap metal swing set.

When we go away in our caravan they always love the sites that have a children's area that has a fort look to it. By that I mean like the picture below (which is actually their favorite one from Ord House Country Park).

Obviously I dont have the space to build something anywhere near that large, but id like to make something a decent size and most importantly something that I can alter as they grow rather than have to scrap and build again. But that is the sought of look id like to aim for anyway as they seem to be more interested in bridges, climbing walls, hiding places etc rather than just swings and slides.

If anyone has any experience or thoughts on this that would be great. And links to any suppliers of appropriate hardware would be fantastic (I've found a couple of sites but the prices mean it wouldn't be worth it. I do have access to a welding/fabrication facility so could make some of the metal components myself).

I built a bought in one for a pal of mine last year (5 Kids), think he paid £800.00 (on offer) for it, took me a day and a half to put it all together!

Had a climbing wall, triple swing frame, steps, two floors etc, couldn't get close to make it for what it cost to buy, might still have the instruction book for it somewhere, which was very well detailed, with all the components drawn and listed, seemed like thousands of them.
