Lidl have a wet and dry vacuum coming on special in just under a week. I wondered if anyone has any experience and / or thoughts on if it looks good value or not. Thinking of it as a basic cost effective basis for dust extraction paired with a small cyclone. As they give a 3 year guarantee I'm working on the basis it can't be total rubbish.

They are usually quite well thought of. I bought my last workshop cleaner second hand 24yrs ago and it lasted til last year when swmbo burned it out, so I may well get one.

Mine must have been going strong for at least 5 years, plastic motor housing has changed style but can't see it being from a different stable or any less effective.

Mine benefited from upping the size of the hose to 63mm to increase airflow and blocking potential with shop shavings.
Reasonably easy to do as can connector is already this size.

It's a shame they're not doing the one with the power take-off. I've been using one for years.

I probably wouldn't bother with this one, though. I could not go back to manually switching it on and off.

Cheers
Stu
