...before getting back to the serious stuff. Out with the compressor and the airtools tomorrow and start making holes in round things again.

This vase is 250mm high and 120mm diameter ish. A bit of yew picked at random from the vast heap. "Yew is like a box of chawcklates, you never know what you're gonna git"

This one is a nice piece. Finish is just a sealing coat so far with a bit of sanding still to do but the colour is spectacular, even more so in the flesh than in the pic. Makes up for the one that cracked yesterday. Even this piece has a hole in it though where a knot turned up unexpectedly. Its character init?

Thanks Matt,

Problem is that most of it is quite wet and I am not exactly reknowned for my patience. I lose a bit that way, turning it thin doesn't save everything.
