Hoping for some bandsaw advice - I recently picked up a Kity 613 - seems to be in reasonable condition, but I’m having an issue with the tracking. When I screw the rear knob down onto the upper wheel’s shaft, it moves the shaft and the wheel tilts. However, when I back off the knob, the shaft stays put, it kind of binds in the housing. I can only get the shaft to move back up to the underside of the bolt by forcing the wheel forwards, or by clamping the shaft and the housing with mole grips and forcing the two together.
Wondering if the housing around the shaft is bent, and the fit between the two is now too tight? Assume it should be free to move in both directions. Any tips before I commit to taking it apart would be much appreciated!
