Afternoon chaps.
I need to make half a dozen doors for the kitchen cabinets in my workshop.

I have made kitchen cabinet doors in the past, but not recently and I cannot for the life of me remember how to size them.
A single cabinet is 503mm wide so do I make the door 500 dead? It is next to another, double, cabinet, so if I did it at 500, there would be a 3mm gap between them.

I shall be using standard Blum spring hinges.

I tend to measure the entire run. Decide on my gaps first (say 6 gaps at 3 mm = 18 mm), subtract this from the total, and then divide the remainder by the number of doors.

(maybe add on 0.5 mm to each door for sanding the edges)

I work on width -4mm, height -2mm (gap at top).

so a 720H x 500Wmm cabinet, single door, =718 x 496
a 1000mm wide cabinet with 2 doors = 718 x 496
