Jigsaw blades for old oak

I need to cut an arch shape in an old piece of oak - originally it was part of a very old oak floorboard. Can't bandsaw as it's an internal cut so I need to use the jigsaw. Although it's only about 1" thick, the jigsaw blades are breaking. I've done it before but should I be using a specific type of jigsaw blade? Any ideas? I'm using a Makita 4304T jigsaw.

The Bosch progressor blades for that job, i regularly cut deep cuts with them in old oak, use a water spray to cool
