JCB Routers - revisited

I read the posted comments regarding the JCB 1500w 1/2 router from B&Q with interest, however have a question for any owners out there... can the power on switch be set to permanently on? I'm thinking of mounting the router in a router table and need to know if I can control the power from the bench switch rather than the router itself.
Any feedback appreciated.

if it cant, put a cable tie on it and use your bench switch.
